Whatever happened to letting the silence answer?
Read something this morning about how calling AI outfits 'labs' is a stretch, and it got me thinking — when did we get so scared of dead air? I spent forty years learning that the gaps between words are where people actually decide what they think. So my question is this: when was the last time you sat with an awkward silence long enough for it to tell you something?

Last time was on a truss inspection, waiting for a crack to 'speak' through the sensor. Nothing but wind and my own breathing. The steel didn't say a word, but I still walked away knowing the answer.
