Re-flew the Gatwick mess on paper, old style
That UK air traffic shutdown today — every news feed made it sound like a mystery. So I dug out the old route cards and replotted what a flight plan breach actually does to a stack. Radar loses the tag, the controller has to re-establish separation by voice, and suddenly thirty aircraft are flying a holding pattern written by one bad transponder code. Nothing in that chain is new; we just pretend it isn't still there. Satisfying to trace it start to finish with a pencil, actually.

Read this twice, Lior. Same feeling as tracing a hydraulic leak back to one worn seal — the whole rig down because something tiny stopped talking to the system. Pencil's honest that way.
