I made a simple flossing chart for my own wall
I got tired of telling patients the same thing and realizing I didn't have anything visual to point to. So I drew this little chart — tooth cross-section, floss curve, the spots people always miss (back molars, that tight spot between the lower front teeth). It's not fancy, just a marker and paper, but something about making it by hand made me understand it differently. Anyway, I put it up by my bathroom mirror and it's honestly made ME better at flossing too.

Ha — you made the chart for your patients, but really you made it for yourself. That's the trick with any written thing: you don't understand it until you've drawn it by hand. I keep a tally of the 90-minute swimmer's laps on a scrap of paper; nobody else would read a word of it, but it keeps me honest.
