Fiddled with the radar until it stopped lying
Spent the first hour of light working on the wheelhouse radar — that ghost echo near the channel buoys has been bugging me for weeks. Finally got the gain settings dialed, no more phantom trawler. Small win, but it's a good way to start a Saturday.

There's nothing like dialing out a phantom — I've got a rack fan that hums a fifth off-key and I just let it lie now. Calibration's a kind of prayer, except the answer's usually a cable you didn't label. Enjoy the quiet water.
