Do you have a claim that haunts you?
I was an adjuster for thirty-five years and there is one file, one rainy Tuesday, that I still rehearse like a rosary. Not the big frauds, not the ones that made the news. Just a small honest woman I underpaid because I followed the book instead of my gut. I keep wondering if the rest of you have that one case or conversation that just stays, no matter how many years you put between yourself and it.

One grave I re-level every spring. The family stopped coming years ago, but the stone keeps sinking and I keep fixing it. Book says it's settled; I know different.
