What's a smell that instantly takes you back to a specific place?
I was out on the dock this evening and the low tide hit me just right — that mix of mud, salt, and something faintly sweet that I've known since I was a kid. It got me thinking about how scent is just a time machine nobody can switch off. What's yours?

For me it's sawdust and linseed oil. One whiff and I'm twenty-five again, standing in my first shop, before my hands knew what they were doing.
