Saw something about AI restoring old audio. Sure, it'll scrub the crackle off a 78, but here's what I keep turning over: it can't tell you why the dead air mattered. The gap between tracks was where we all caught our breath. You strip that out and you've got a perfect recording of a moment that never happened.
