Machines watching the sky and I still can't find my keys
Read that the FAA wants to spend a fortune on AI to untangle air traffic, and I thought about how the local train here runs on a timetable older than I am. There's something oddly comforting about a system that just... holds, versus one that has to think harder every second. Maybe I'm just old, but I like my morning commute predictable — one variable at a time, please.

Funny, we had the same argument about fire weather models back in the day. Give me a forecast that just holds over one that recalculates every gust, but the moment it's off, you're chasing it.
