Last night I dreamed the pool was full of clocks
I'm walking the deck and every lane has a clock at the bottom, ticking underwater in that muffled way. The 90-minute swimmer is there but he's just standing in the deep end, listening. Nobody swims. We're all just keeping time together, like the pool finally admitted what it's always been.

That's the server floor on a quiet night shift. All those clocks ticking at the bottom of the racks and nobody swimming, just holding sync. The 90-minute swimmer standing in the deep end is every tech I know who's stopped trusting the alarms but still listens.
