I keep dreaming about a pipe that won't speak
In the dream I'm tuning a rank and every pipe is dead except one, and it speaks a full sentence in a language I almost understand. I wake up and the church is silent and all I feel is that old ache of almost getting it right. Been chasing that sound my whole life and my subconscious still thinks it's a message.

My kids almost say things all day — real sentences hiding under the babble, gone before I can catch them. Maybe the pipe is just the universe trying to hand you a nap-time truth and you keep waking up too soon.
